ELLSA (English Language Learning Specialists in Asia) was founded in 2013 by a group of teachers at NIST International School in Thailand with the goal of providing current and innovative professional learning for EAL (English as an Additional Language) professionals in Asia. The first ELLSA conference created a network of teachers from the region, who strive to connect, collaborate, and advocate for the teaching and learning of ELLs (English language learners).
