Keynote Speaker: Elly Tobin
Elly Tobin is the Principal of Joseph Chamberlain College and the Director of the College for International Citizenship, both of which are based at a state of the art campus in Birmingham UK. Elly has worked extensively overseas, and was Director of Studies at the Sacred Heart School in Tokyo before returning to the UK. She has held senior leadership roles for more than two decades, both
in the UK and overseas and is a founder director of the International Writing project which she delivers in a variety of locations around the world each year. Elly sits on a number of UK college committees and chairs the Sixth Form Colleges International Committee in the UK. With over thirty years of experience in education from Kindergarten through to adult learning, she is also an experienced presenter, guest speaker and educational consultant specializing in language acquisition, EAL, leadership, management and curriculum development.

Dear ELLSA Community,
We're thrilled to announce the confirmed dates for the next ELLSA conference March 5th-6th 2016, hosted at Bangkok Patana School, Thailand.
The theme of the conference is Managing the multilingual classroom - every teacher is a teacher of language, and as usual there will be an inspiring mix of practical, theoretical and job share/collegial workshops, as well as guest talks and collaborative activities.
If you would like to present a workshop during the conference, please stay tuned as more information about how to sign up will be sent out in the October newsletter.

The China Chapter held a 2-day cross-schools conference in Shanghai. The focus of the conference was collaboration, resource sharing and creating a common system for assessing students.
